2 months ago, I did sound for the Cakes, the first band of the project ONcovered by productiehuis ON (known to have brought NO Blues or Kyteman’s Hip-Hop Orchest to the masses). This 4 min videos explain what the project is about, and give you a glimpse of what you can achieve with 3 days of good rehearsals!
Usually graphic designers are the last creatives to work on music projects before they go in production; after the music has been rehearsed, played, recorded, mixed, remixed and mastered, the graphic designer adds a visual identity to the music. At its best, the graphic designer is able to capture the essential atmosphere and mood of the recorded music and give it its unique face. This way of working is fine and logical. However, we believe it is an extremely interesting idea to flip this concept 180° around! http://www.ONcovered.nl
